DESCRIPTION:https://beekeepers.org.au/event-2521577\n\nA winter refresher at intermediate level\, designed for club members to build confidence and independence in their beekeeping.  \n  Reviews and extends topics covered in the beginners courses and includes:\n      * Inspecting and handling bees\n\n\n        * Splits and making increase\n\n\n        * Swarm prevention and collection (including artificial swarming)\n\n\n        * Diseases and pests\n\n\n        * Equipment building and maintenance\n\n\n     Workshop activities will principally feature hands on\, interactive practical exercises.  Participants will undertake a number of simulated hive manipulations.      \n      Lunch and morning tea included in registration.      \n
