SUMMARY:April Weekend Beginners Course
LOCATION:33 Saxon St\, Brunswick\, 3056
DESCRIPTION:https://beekeepers.org.au/event-2459193\n\nThis Fundamentals of Beekeeping course is designed to provide new beekeepers with both the practical skills and the background knowledge to start beekeeping with confidence. The program encompasses both Langstroth and Flow hives and is suitable for all styles of beekeeping. No previous experience is required. \n The course runs over a full weekend with hive opening exercises each day. All sessions are highly interactive and include hands-on skill building. Included in the course fee are a comprehensive handbook and a textbook (The Australian Beekeepers Manual). Lunches and light refreshments provided.\n\n The hive opening sessions are weather dependent\; in the event of inclement weather we will run these on alternate dates to ensure participation. \n A certificate of completion will be awarded once the online quiz has been successfully attempted.\n\n The Beekeepers Club has run beginners courses over many years. The presenters have decades of beekeeping expertise and extensive teaching experience\, both formal and informal. Previous participants have expressed outstanding feedback and gratitude.\n Note: You are required to be a member of the Beekeepers Club to attend this course. This is so you are covered by our public liability insurance. You will not be able to pay and finalise your registration until you join. Subscription is reduced towards the end of the financial year.\n\n \n Stuart Anderson presenting at our Flow Beginners Course in April 2016\n
