Should I do a beginners course?

Your first experience with bees can be quite daunting.  They have stings and you might get something wrong and cause the hive to die. So a course is an ideal way to start and preferably before your bees come.  We will teach you to understand what's going on with your bees and give you your first experiences in controlled and calm circumstances. And you will love it (our feedback is outstandingly positive). We run several beginners courses each year and details of the next event can be found here on the website (events tab).

We also recommend joining a club - there are many benefits including mentoring and advice. Frequently members are able to assist in obtaining bees and other equipment.
